Italian painter. Name variations: Angussola or Anguisciola. Pronunciation ang-GWEE-sho-la or ang-GOOS-so-la. Born c. 1545 or 1546 in Cremona, Italy; date of death unknown; dau. of Amilcare Anguissola (noble) and Bianca Ponzone; sister of Sofonisba, Elena, Europa, and Lucia Anguissola; m. Giacopo Sommi, c. 1570.
Received formal art training from sister Sofonisba and collaborated with her on a Madonna with the Christ Child and Saint John.
