Gascoigne, Paul John
Gascoigne, Paul John ( ‘Gazza’) (1967– ) English footballer. In 1988, Gascoigne transferred from Newcastle United to Tottenham Hotspur, and his goalscoring abilities took Spurs to the 1991 FA Cup Final. He later played for Lazio (1992–95), Glasgow Rangers (1995–98), Middlesbrough (1998–2000), and Everton (2000–02). A gifted, goal-scoring midfielder, Gascoigne's off-field behaviour was widely criticized.
