La Scala
La Scala (Teatro alla Scala) One of the world's great opera houses, Milan, Italy. Designed by Giuseppe Piermarini, it opened in 1776, and has been the scene of many famous premieres, among them Bellini's Norma, Verdi's Otello and Puccini's Madame Butterfly.
