OMara, Joseph
O'Mara, Joseph (b Limerick, 1861; d Dublin, 1927). Irish tenor and impresario. Début London 1891 in title-role of Ivanhoe. Sang Wagner roles at CG, then became prin. ten. of Moody-Manners co., 1902–10. Joined Beecham's co. at CG 1910–12. Formed O'Mara Co. 1912, appearing with it until 1924. Retired 1926.
