Abbess of Chelles. Name variations: Marie-Adelaide d'Orleans. Born on August 13, 1698; died on February 19, 1743; daughter of Françoise-Marie de Bourbon (1677–1749) and Philip Bourbon-Orléans (1674–1723), 2nd duke of Orléans (r. 1701–1723); sister of Louise-Diana (1716–1736) and Louise Elizabeth (1709–1750), queen of Spain. Louise-Adelaide became abbess in 1719.
